Situation:

I had completed all my degree requirements (for M.Sc.) in 23rd March 2015 (was on study permit). From 15th April, 2015, I started working full-time (I was on study permit and my PWGP was processing that time). Since the processing time for PWGP then was longer, I got my PWGP on September, 2015.

Now, I put 15 April, 2015, as start date for my current job in express entry profile and they made me eligible for Canadian experience class since I will complete one year of my work in 15 April 2016.

Question:

From when CIC will actually count my Canadian experience? from 15 April, 2015 or from 15 September, 2015.

* need help urgently, If CIC counts the work experience from 15th September 2015, i am not eligible for CEC.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly man, but I may be wrong. working before getting the work permit was not legal! Because you are only to work part-time on a student permit as far as I remember when I used to be a student I was told the rules were.

Anyway, CIC will ask for a letter of employment that will come from your employer that will state the start date which is April 2015, but ask someome with more knowledge than me (maybe someone in this forum can) about working before getting the PGWP issue

Cheers!

Thanks for reply.

I found some thing in forum regarding this issue which seems positive (unable to post link, the topic title: Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) current actual processing time) but couldn't find anything in cic website.

Again thanks for your reply.

Work experience gained as a full-time student does not count. You have not stated when you ceased to be a full-time student (either graduation date, or end date of the final semester in which you were registered).

By default, VOs look at the date of the PGWP as the start date, so if you wish for your "interim" experience to be counted, you need to write a letter of explanation and prove the date when you ceased to be a student (copy of diploma, dates of enrollment letter from the university).
