Pursuing masters after pgd

Hi everyone,
I have been accepted in 1 year Ontario college graduate certificate program or in other words PGD for Winter 2016 intake
The thing is, I am very much interested in pursuing masters and would be applying for a few universities for Sep 2016 intake.
If I get accepted, can I pursue masters after completing pgd(which ends in august)?
Will there be any hiccups in doing so?

there shouldnt be any issues if u get admission and if u get study permit extension. Personally I dont understand why do u go directly for masters why PGD in between?

I did apply for a few universities for jan intake but unfortunately I could not get into any. Consequently, don't want to risk time here waiting for another 8 months with no guarantee if i'll get into any university.

ru hoping to get into university based on ur PGD? if yes than I am not sure thats possible. I dont think universities look at ur PGD scores to give u admission. I may be wrong but u should check out university websites for information as different universities have different policies. If u have good scores in ur Bachelors then working in ur home country for 1 year in a skilled profession will get u more points for PR and advantages before Masters.

No buddy i'm not banking on pgd for getting into university. I have an average score in my bachelors (around 68%). I really dont want to take up a job here as work environment in my field in my country is pathetic as far as i've experienced (though diff. people may have diff. perceptions).
What I meant was rather than wasting time here, I start pgd in jan and meanwhile apply for a few average universities for september intake. If I get in a university, good enough. If not, I'll do another 1 yr pgd then.

the reason I said take up a job is it will help u with PR(express entry) even though u may have to suck it up in poor contitions. Job experience in home country will give u more points for PR coupled with Masters and 1 year experience here in canada. Only concern is now after elections canada has new government do not know how Express entry would change or even if it will change or not. but as it stands currently 1 year experience in home country + masters+ 1 year experience in canada gives more points than 2 years experience in canada + master.
