You mean do what pp said or what immigration said ?
Confusion .
My results did not update to immigration yet pp said we need bronchoscopy
The immigration will not accomodate you if they dont receive any result better send it first to know

If i were you il just go and follow pp broncho for further result so it wont take so much time. If they will send first to immigration it will take time to review again then add another exam if there is any conflict.

Dear Fellows,

I had my medical last Aug 23 at IOM Makati, medical furtherance (sputum samples) for 3 days on Aug 27/28/29
It’s 8th week and I made follow up of smear result(I wasn’t aware that aside drom culture there is smear test result that comes out earlier than culture test result) but the clinic replied that all results are ready and asking me to come back to the clinic on Dec 5 for the doctor to discuss the result and for re-xray.
1. Is there anyway I can be able to know if the result is negative or positivw for both smear and culture?atleast for peace of mind while waiting for re x ray schedule.
2. Dec 5 is almost 2 weeks late to 3-mnth period re-xray, Can I ask the clinic to perform re-xray exactly on 3rd mnth after my first x-ray?
3. After re-x ray what’s next, will i be referred to Pulmo in makati Med like what I’ve back read?
4. Does it help if I have Fit to Work certificate from Lung Center of the Philippines when I seek 2nd Opinion last month?

Please helpe be enligtened it was a very lonnnng Agony.

Hi All -
My wife got lung infection after delivering the baby girl 2.5 years back, and as a doubt doctor treated as per TB treatment, we just updated my wife saying that it was just injection to the lungs and need to undergo 6 months treatment for it.. she completed her treatment.. now when we went to medicals for canada, she just checked NO where the TB treatment option is there.. but the Canada Medical officer sent an email to the doctor to get the Chest fitness certificate and to undergo sputum test and re-do chest xray after 3 months..
Saying No in the Medical history form will cause any problem? as she is unaware of that treatment..
and we got the fitness certificate from the Visa chest specialist.. and completed the sputum test and waiting for results.. please help me here..

Hello Everyone, quick question. My husband and I underwent medical test for Canada PR on 13 Jul 2018. I was cleared on the very same day. However, my husband was asked to undergo TB tests and they finally cleared it in last week of October 2018. So will my husbands medical too expire on 13 July 2019?

today I went for my medical and doctor asked me to come again and do sputum test thrice a time in a day bcz my baby small and I cannot come 3 days regularly. they saw 2, 3 scar. dr told me if my sputum came negative, she will forward the medical. if CIC approved then u will get visa, or may be they ask to do another Xray after 3 months.

can anybody tell me how much chances are there that CIC dr pass my medical if my sputum smear test comes negative and will not ask me to do repeated Xray after 3 months?

Hi Guys,

Quick question.. My husband did his Medical on Oct 27th and Nov 12th PP asked him to come for 3 days TB test as his upper part of left lung had some scar. So far all of his test results are: MTB not detected, AFB negative.

We are requesting doctor to at least submit these results as we only have one more week to complete our 30 days timeline.
For some reason doctor is being stubborn head and refusing to submit these result - he is asking us to wait till Jan 27, 2019 when he'll do final X-ray and after that he'll submit our results.

I am really worried as all our results are negative and because of this doctor we'll loose our chance of getting PR or will delay.

Please advise what can we do in this situation.

Thank you!!!

Hello All, my husband and I applied and got the golden email. However, have one serious question. My medical cleared on 13 July 2018 and my husbands medical was eventually cleared on 16 October 2018 as he had to undergo TB test/CT Scan. Given we are expecting our first child we only foresee travelling in August 2019. I am happy to undergo medical again if required. But would he have to undergo too?

Hi everyone i hope someone can enlighten me on my current situation.

I was required to do a sputum exam because of some findings on my xray. Apparently meron daw "haze" so they want to rule out tb. After 2 months the sputum culture test result came out negative. Now when i did my 2nd xray they saw that the "haze" on my xray was lessened. According to the doctor This was most probably because of the antibiotics i took for another sickness 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately they said there cannot be any changes between the xrays otherwise it will appear unstable. Because of this i was required to do another xray after 3 months to "check for stability".

My question is this. What will they be looking for on the 3rd xray? Theres a high probability that the result will be the same as my 3rd xray since im not taking any medications. Or are they looking for the haze to completely vanish?

I would appreciate any replies and if someine else has experienced this i would love to hear from you.

Thanks everyone.
Hi! I just would like to know, how was the result of your third xray? Passed na ba yung medicals mo? I have the same situation kasi. Did the CIC requested for the 3rd xray or was it the physician? Hope you can answer. Thank you.

Hello, I treated tuberculosis 2015 to 2016 and was cleared, I applied for a student visa oct 21 to resume school winter Jan 3 .. , the doctor asked me if I had TB in the past and I said yes so he asked for a report from the hospital that it was treated so I provided it and it was sent with my medical result , only to get a message from cic for additional test to provide old x ray 6 month ago which I don’t have... and if I don’t have I have to wait 3 months to repeat x ray, I was so sad and I had to defer my admission and the next available semester is fall semptember a long time from now, my question is
Hope I will still get the visa?
After repeat x ray in March and there is no changes.. will I still get the visa immediately or there will be another delay because I deferred to semptember
Please I need advice.. they did not ask for sputum ... just repeat X RAY after 3 months

Hi Sheryll,

May I ask what is the status of your concern? Actually we might have the same situation once I process my application for PR since I had my PTB when I am a teenager, that is why Im following this thread while waiting for my provincial nomination.

By the way if you dont mind can you share your experience with IOM and how much the cost including the sputum test? Thanks in advance..

Thanks for the reply! So meaning dapat yung lumabas sa upcoming xray ko (3rd) is the same sa last xray ko(2nd)?
The "key sign" they are looking for is "stability" which refers to "no changes" or "no important changes" in your repeated x-ray. In other words, if your last x-ray is almost same as the previous one, you will pass the medical.
no need totally same x-rays, if there is no major differences between the 2nd and 3rd x-ray, you will be ok.
What if the third x ray is still unstable? Will the visa be denied? Thank you in advance!

Hello,
When I did my x ray for medicals I was told I had an abnormality in my lungs. I have no symptoms of tb or have ever had tb. Is it possible for the abnormality to be a scar from really bad cough? Can this abnormality be overlooked and I'll still pass my medical test or there is a high chance I will be called to do some extra tests.
I applied for a study permit how does this affect me as a student. Will I have to defer for a year or more?? How does this news prolong my application process.
Hi muna, I did my chek up today. PP asked me to take lung x-ray twice, from different angles and I was also told that my lung x-ray is abnormal, but was not asked for sputum right away. Since I also have no symptom of or ever had TB, I'm just curious how your case was, hoping that X-ray can ring false alarm and everything is actually OK.
Another question is the Medical Examination Instruction letter gave me deadline of 30 days. Is it counted until the date we show up at Panel Physician for examination, or until the results reached VO? In case I need furtherance process (sputum tests and re-Xray), will PP send my IME to VO anyway, or they will wait until sputum test and reX-ray results come out?
I'd be thankful if anyone can shed a light on this, please!
