They have not called me and they havent sent my result as i havent done a re xray.....
on my online profile it still says we need your medical informaton........
I just want to know if i sud believe the results are negative since i havent recieved a call..

Do you mean that your local clinic that did all the tests hasn't called you? May be you should just visit the doctor personally and demand update. If the medicals have been submitted and you haven't heard from the visa office, submit a case specific inquiry. You should be able to find details on the cic website on how you could do that.

I would just follow up with the medical center that did your medical test.

I need your help on my case..
I am accompanying spouse and my initial medical was done on April 25 2016. I was called for further sputum smear + culture tests on April 27, 28 and 29. I was told that there is some scar on my chest x-ray.
The result of smear came out in week and were normal. Results of culture to 8 weeks and same were also negative. I was advised for repeat x-ray at 90 days and today I was done with repeat x-ray today. I was given an sealed envelop and asked to visit TB specialist for final report. The Dr has negative tale on things and he told that report is mot favorable. I want to know following queries if someone can help us.
1. What will be next step after submission of report by TB specialist
2. How much more time it will take to clear medical
3. If I am not satisfied with dr report can I ask my medical centre for 2nd opinion
4. I had requested copy of reports to my medical centre but they refused, how can I get report
5. I want to know if anyone from Pakistan had gone through this process

Hi, did he say you have active TB or latent TB? My understanding is that if the sputum tests are negative but your x-ray is not, it is a latent TB. In that case, you will be given the visa but will have to report to a Canadian doctor within 30 days of arrival. They will keep you monitored to make sure the infection is not active/contagious.

By the way, is anyone able to confirm what the timeline is after passing your medical tests?

Everything got clear except x-ray. and so had to take sputum test and re x-ray after 3 months. After 3 months sputum is clear and no x-ray is normal as well. Doctor was like, the earlier x-ray might have got that smoky patch due to treatment or may be cos I had cold that day.

Now I want to know How many months more it would take after this letter is sent by doctor to high commission , to provide PPR and visa.

Takes about a week for the doctor to send the report and a week from there for passport request.

My parents submitted the passport yesterday at the local vfs. I guess they should receive their visa by the end of this week.

My sister is still in treatment until Oct.13,2016
She had her sputum test last June and re-xray too! The xray result was fine but her sputum culture result is not ready yet, her husband and son had their skin test too but Thanks God their fine no worries.Then by Aug. 15-17 she will go for her last sputum test were hoping that it will turn well.
Were all praying and hoping byOctober that all her test will be good.And were claiming now that by Christmas she and her family will be here with us..

Today makes it the 12th week that i submitted samples for sputum test. (May 16)
I havent got a call from the clinic. Anytime I call I am told the result is not yet out and I will be contacted when it is.

I decided to go to the clinic today and I was told the tests isnt done in Nigeria and the result hasnt been sent to them.

I am losing patience because by 5th of August I sud be due to a repeat Xray and I havent heard anytin yet my sschool resumes september.

Please I will like to ask if It is compulsory to have a rexray or medicals can be updated to passed just after sputum result which I believe is negative.
Is it the chest specialist that will decide is a rexray is needed or not?

I'm sorry to hear that you are in such a situation. But just have patience. You have to follow the protocol. You can ask your local clinic if you have to wait for the sputum tests to be completed before you do your re-xray. If not, you can have this done in parallel. Hopefully, you get your results soon and everything is normal. Keep us posted.

I have the same situation for the sputum test. I am in Canada and I gave sample on May 18th, my physician already submitted my sputum test on 8th July still no updates from CIC. I haven't been contacted by them for repeat Xray or any other tests or anything...!!! does anyone know how much time it will take?

I was not told the result of the test but I believe its negative.

Who has been in this situation before?
If the result is positive will you still be asked to see the chest specialist?
Or I am asked to see the chest specialist because the result is negative....

Hi Staydoogged,
If your sputum smear test results got positive, you will advise to undergo medical treatment for 6 monyhs. Same thing with sputum culture test...If both sputum smear/culture came out negative, no more medical treatment and will advise yout to have repeat xray (after 3 months from your initial xray). If you have previous xray (I think more than 3 months old), no more repeat xray.

Worst thing scenario, what if the "in active TB" became "active TB" during your medical surveillance in Canada, what will the health authority will do to you? will undergo treatment there? please need your answer....
