I've read comments where people say you need to upload your current work permit and notice of decision as a protected person, but there is no option on where to upload those documents. So I want to know if it really matters? And if so, how or where do I upload those documents?

Honestly, I have never uploaded these documents. I have successfully renewed my WP twice.

Yes, comments like this (where the OP forgot to include the notice of decision)

Not sure. The above is for a RTD - which is different from a work permit application.

And if so, how or where do I upload those documents?

There was no earlier step that allowed you to upload files? If there was, that was probably when you should have included these. See if you can go back.

Otherwise it might not show up until the last step. (This is the case for the online citizenship app, for example.)

Worst case, if you finish the app and never see an option - you can send a webform to attach the docs to your app. Specifically you'd use https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application/Form/72

I applied workpermit extension on aug 12. i receieved my extension letter.
but i did not receive my work permit. my old work permit already expired on nov 7th.

any one received you work permit? applied after august??
