Proof of work experience.

According to my consultant, they are not going to accept W2 forms, paystubs or Tax related paper. Most employers have a online site that will have you print out your salary and date of employment but thats not enough. They actually need a former letter from your employer. So what do you tell him? Its related to Immigration?
 
Hi,

The do accept W2 records, they have already asked me and I have to send them, they also want current pay-stubs and company letters. I have sent a company letter with my initial application, now they are asking me for Tax documents which is W2 in the US and Pay-stubs. They just need copies and I guess they have some kind of way to verify it.

The point I am trying to make is that employer letter is not enough, someone just make one at their home, they want to ensure that all these years you are claiming for experience, and you have W2 or any tax return document to support it.

You can tell your employer that you need a letter for INS to sponsor your mother, brother, sister etc. who cares, they will give you a letter with your employment history and salary you are taking.
 
I have a question,

I have been working in a firm since 4 years and yes i can show all of the required documents to prove it but the question is during the first year of my working there i had called from another employer which is a  multinational firm. I gave all the tests and interviews and passed, then i got a formal appointment letter from them. I joined it but didn't resign in the 1st employer but took leave for one month as i had a thought at that time that if i failed to manage then i would come back to same or otherwise renounced from there.

I worked with the second emplyer for a month but as it was located very far apart from my home constrained me to continue and so i joined back to my first employer.

So the point which i want to ask that should i include the second employer details in the application form as i have only their formal appointment letter in the name of me to prove it? as i wish to include it as it is very known firm (Procter & Gamble).

Hope the seniors (specially Leon) would entertain my question above and reply back.
 
Include it if you want and send the data you have. If it is not enough data, they will ask for more and if you can not provide more, they will just ignore that month. Should be fine either way.

Thanks Leon, I would like to ask one more thing from you.

I actually hasn't applied for immigration instead of having enough points to qualify as i am planning to apply after the arrival of list of professions.

I'm Chemist professionally, and this profession comes under the fair demand category in Canada for future.

So should i apply now or wait, what u recommend me as per your kind view or knowledge.

Applications are already processed under the new rules since February 27 this year so you can not escape them by applying now. If it was me, I would wait until they publish the list.
 
is the letter from your employer is enough or not?
and what sort of information should be included in this letter? I mean just your work title , main duties, working history, or also the no. of hours per week as weel?

I think my letters just had job title and verified since when I was working there. Job duties would be good as well and either hours per week or just stated that it is a full time job.
 
I showed them my contract, letters of current and previous employers, appointment decision, and Social Insurance Books of current and previous employment. I think those are enough, right?
 
more the merrier....

A letter that contains your title, salary (if possible), years joined will be enough, if they want they will confirm this by asking you tax returns and/or pay stubs.
