Hello guys,

I need advice on how to make sure I won't have issues with Proof of Funds. Please advise.

I have personal savings and time deposit worth 6K CAD (intact for more than 1year)

My question is I just received a cheque from a family member for 12K CAD.
This money is almost enough since I am a single applicant.

Do I open a new savings account for the cheque?
I worry that it might create issues if I deposit the whole 12K CAD to my old savings account.

What would be the best option?
Do I have to wait for 6months for it to be a valid proof of funds?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
if you want to deposit it in your account go for it but make sure to get gift deed from the family member who is giving you this amount that will state that this money can be utilized by you in any manner amd it is not a loan
