Proof of financial resource of supporter and proof of means of financial support

Discussion in 'Visitors' started by andreamhi, Nov 7, 2018.

  1. So I'm planning to visit Canada so that I can see my uncle and cousins, but in the proof of financial resource of supporter and proof of means of financial support it's stated that I need to prove that I am able to afford my stay in Canada.

My uncle planned to pay all my expenses while I visit but I was seeing that it doesn't matter because there's no kind of "sponsorship" for a visitor visa and now I don't know what to do, can somebody give me any advice?

  2. Sir. You can your uncle to make a letter for you: one for the letter of invitation and one for stating that he will pay for your expenses.

However, if you don't have financial capability in your home country, that can be a problem. I mean you would have to convince CIC that you have sufficient reasons to go back such as a business or properties, etc.

I didn't get that part when you said "no kind of sponsorship for a visitor visa."

  3. We have financial capability in our contry we can easily afford our living here, my problem is that we can't afford my expenses while I'm visiting in Canada so that's why my uncle will be paying.

And the part about the sponsorship is that somebody had told me that while my uncle can pay for my expenses I still have to submit my mom's financial information because I have to prove we're able to pay for my expenses there since I'm still a minor and my visa application is just a visitor one and there's no type of sponsorship for just visiting canada

  4. Offering to pay/actually paying for someone's visit can work against a TRV approval. It indicates a weak financial situation of the applicant and hints at the possibility of overstaying the visit.

Visitors cannot be *sponsored* for a visit visa
