Proof of divorce

I am applying for PR under spousal sponsorship. Since I was married before, I have to show proof of my divorce. All I have at this point is a form from the court showing the judgment of disillusionment of the marriage, and the terms (which in our case was pretty much blank because we didn't have any shared property, kids, spousal support etc.). Is that good enough or do they need an actual divorce certificate? Does anyone know?

It will depend on your country and jurisdiction (i.e. may be different even between provinces). Most common would be some kind of divorce certificate/extract from civil register (either copy or notarised copy or in some cases originals with official translations), but you should check the country-specific requirements. I presume others can answer for divorces within Canada.

In that case you can easily request a copy of the full court records and also the divorce certificate for your divorce. You should do this so that you can include the complete paperwork with your application.
