program change and defer intake from india after Visa approval

Hello members,

I have got my Visa approval for January intake and my program was diploma. I got my passport on 16th January.

My college was not giving me extention instead college offered me defer to PG program of 1 year starting in may 2019 intake.

Will it create any problem on the airport as I got Visa for diploma program and now I my college offered me a PG program?

Do I need to inform cic about the program change?

Note: college is same but the program is different.

I didn't inform cic but had both offer letters printed for cbsa if they ask question you may show them. Otherwise you are good to go.
