Hi all, Looking for advice myself, I have received a letter asking me to mail 2 photos since the ones provided earlier with the copr were not in accordance with all the requirements.
Though I have looked into this in some detail, could anyone with some insight on this or someone who has gone through a similar experience i.e. having gotten the pr card after mailing the photos share your thoughts on this:
1. New photos that I have gotten have the name, address of the studio where I got the picture taken here in Canada and the date when the picture was taken on the back. Would the stamp with that info suffice?
2. Secondly, do I need to do the following as well?
a. write my full name in caps?
b. write my date of birth?
c. Sign on the back of the photo?
Thank you for your response in advance.

We received a similar letter with the title - Appendix B : Photo specifications.

NEW Photo Dimensions

1. Show a full front view of the person's head showing full face centred in the middle of the photo
2. be clear, well-defined and taken against a plain white background without shadows
3. be produced from the same unretouched film or from the same file capturing the digital image or from two identical photos exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera
4. be original photos (not taken from any existing photo)
5. NEW; measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1" and 1 1/5") from chin to crown (top of hair)
6. have a 35mm x 45 mm (1 3/8" x 1 3/4") finished size
7. be on photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date. Photos without this backing are not acceptable
8. be on prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent discolouration
9. bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable.

The parts in #5 seems to be important as it is actually in bold on the document.

Hope this helps.

We took our new photos yesterday and they should be in by today / tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't take the 63 days to process again!!

Question to these who have been requested to re-take and re-send the photos for PR cards.

Does the photo need to be taken in Canada only? Is there such a requirement in the letter for Photos Re-send for PR Cards?
