Looks like the guys are getting the visa and the girls are still trailing behind
Hmmmm... I just wanted to drop a line and say that we should all stay strong. Think about it, all of us that applied in 2010 will for sure get the visa before the end of 2011. Tomorrow is the start of September and then there's just 3 months to go before the end of the year.
I am positive we're all going to be getting some news within the next few months. So please don't sit around sad. I know its tough, but here's an idea. Instead of worrying endlessly, go out and get stuff for your partners. I got simple things like socks, deo, perfume etc so that I was prepared for when he got here. I even got a toothbrush
I know it sounds lame, but it does help to do that so that you know you are getting ready instead of sitting around feeling helpless.
Also as a reminder, everyone seem to be getting their visa before a full 10 months has elapsed from the time the file gets to the Colombo office. So if that's the case then, we should all get some good news soon. So again stay strong and keep yourself occupied. Don't fret around and cry and freak out because you are not doing yourself any good. When you feel upset, talk to your partner and I assure you they will make you feel better. Surround yourself with good friends and family if you can and they will also help you get through it.
For the person that applied in July - Be strong since you are just starting your journey. The hardest part is yet to come. So good luck and I wish you all the best.
