Shiff - Just tell him to drop in to find out the status.. Doesn't really matter what he asks.. With the rain and the power outages and terrible postal system they have in Colombo, he could easily miss the call or emails.. Tell him to let them know what Ecas says. Take a print out of it.. And just ask. He may or may not get any thing... BUT, at least you guys tried right..

What exactly did it say btw on ECAS? As in the wording.. And when you clicked on it what does it say?

so on the website under " permanent residence application status" it says " PROCESS" and as i clicked it it say exactly >>


We received (husbands name) application for permanent residence on November 1, 2010.

We started processing (husbands name) application on May 19, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

For me, it looks like they will call you this week. I read on other thread (non sri lankan visa office threads) they mostly get PPR request right after 2 weeks of status changed. I hope you will get good news this week. Does he live in Colombo?
When did you see this status change? Do you know when they changed this status?
They received my application 15 days after urs.

Above link is last year's applicants from Colombo.. The people on that thread were in our situation and thought it would be helpful. I'm sure you guys have seen it around

Note that the change for them happened 6 months after the the file reach CIC Colombo too on Ecas. So this is good..

Did you notice that...all of them are girls. Not sure how long it took for guys in 2009-2010 period.

yeah.. I think it would have been a similar time line. I hope we all get some news soon. This week has started off badly for me. I'm getting really nervous about my husband's application. But I figured that some days are going to be good and some not so great. We signed up for this right.. So might as well deal with it. I am very very worried about hubby's meds expiring and then another delay happening.

I dont think that will happen. They will call your man in next week or so and give him visa. Then you are going to give me a party for told you this early.
I seen it happend to some ppl.
As you said, yes...we singed this even after seen it with in our friends and relatives. So we have to go through it. If life has button "undo" then it would be different story.

You and me are just 24 hrs apart. I had huge fight yesterday. Fight is over now but side effect isn't. Still talking like "okay...okay...what else...u tell me...mmmmmm...then.......u tell me..." lol.
