My personal opinion after submit you contact your local police station you or your relative because sl police now doing this process via online some time local police office didn’t check there email it’s happened to me that’s it I said

Thanks alot. Before I leave SL I got my PC but it has a one month gap. As in the date of the PC is Aug 9th where as I left country on Sep 7. Will that be an issue ?

Hi Guys. Anyone knows if the Sri Lankan police clearance certificate which is to my knowledge given online, works well? Or the traditional way still works better? I applied according to the new system in March 25th 2017 and I got Police Certificate request Nov 03rd/2017 (yesterday)

If the online (new) system is "reliable" Its convenient to apply online no? Would save my need to go to Colombo Police HQ. And How about fingerprints? Are we still giving it "online"? It would be a great help If some one sheds lights on the new police clearance system.

CIC asked me also to submit an updated PC again. Since I am in Canada at the moment I called them and they advised me to apply online. But if you are in SL better go directly to Headquarters. Their service is now very good and will take maximum 14 days. Sometimes they'll come and visit you or call you. Anyway, its always better if you have a known person inside police department who can followup and speed up the process.

yesterday cic updated this to my (sponsor) online services. but in April cic updated the same thing to my husband. we already sent all the documents Feb. 15th. Has anyone got the same problem? or any idea ?

I think you must submit RCMP report too?

It wasn't required but I did provide a police clearance report from Canada for my stay there. Right now they are only asking clearance for my stay in Sri Lanka since I turned 18.

Hey Thanks a lot. I dont mind applying online. The only problem is that, its a new system and not sure if they'll give the report on time, however I can track the application status and If i dont get the report within the given time I can show proof to the embassy that I have applied and its on process. You think If we dont give the report on time they reject the whole spousal PR application? (Seems very harsh)

I received the same message but our form was already submitted.
