Hi, my hubby finally received PPR and DM this morning!! After 2 years the wait is over!

Two years, Oh my God, Usually Processing time 12 months, How come 24 months. Its too long

it depends on how complex is your application. It takes more than a year for applicants with travel history, other records and etc. some people got their DM in 8 months too. However, that was before covid. Things are changed now and it takes more than a year for everyone.

Yes it was way too long and Covid delayed it even more. My husband finally landed in Canada today without any issues! Thanks everyone for your help and advice in this forum. Hope everyone gets to be with their spouse soon!!

could u tell me the quarantine plan you guys prepared? is he quarantining with u? and did he submit PCR results too?

I went to visit my husband and flew back with him. So the quarantine plan we prepared was that we would be quarantine in the same room which has an attached bathroom, separate from our other family members living in the house. But they didn't ask about this in detail. They just wanted to see that we submitted the information through the ArriveCan app before we arrived in Canada (when you enter the info in the app it gives a receipt # which you just show to the officer). They did ask him if he knows how many days he needs to quarantine. They checked our PCR results at the airport before issuing my husband's boarding pass and also the immigration officer in Canada checked the PCR results too. We had a physical copy of the results which we gave them and they returned to us after checking it.

Anika when did you get back your passport? just wanted to get an idea to see how long it would take. We are going to courier it tomorrow

She got PPR then next day pre arrival.
App received jan 30th 2020
AOR in Feb 2020
SA and file moved in March 2020
Medical and ADR in July 2020
PPR and pre arrival Jan 2021

Thanks! Wonder how long it takes to return the passport from VFS in SL? Does Passport request mean (automatic) approval? what does decision made mean?

What I heard from others, it would take at least two weeks to get back passport from VFS. Will update you when we get ours back.

PPR means yes its done. did you get your PPR?

Yes , just got it. Which courier service did you/wife use to send it to VFS lk? No one is accepting local/and passports?

aramex.. they are the only courier service accept passport. Call them, they will come to your house to pick it up and they delivery it next day.
