Also,in the background check it says we are processing your background check,we will send u a message if we need more information.

Did you contacted the embassy?

Yes, I have e-mailed Canada's mission in Sri lanka they said due to the ongoing pandemic, processing time is longer than normal.

No use. Just a generic reply as same as GCMS notes

gcms notes could have officers notes on the file, if file is taking longer than usual, its a good idea to see what they have an issue with.
