Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

I got the letter first, then this update in the Ecas showed up.. the correspondence was requesting for my NIC copy, my husband's t4 statement, notice of assessment, 4 pp size photographs.. the list is NOT same for all. Some are being requested with copy of alteration pages of the pp.. So wait until you get the correspondence. But if it's taking long, try to contact CIC..

The fact that you know there is a communication from them but don't know what it is is really hard waiting for... but waiting it is...

Did anyone receive any other correspondence in mail? anyone receive PPR through mail? How long from ECAS update did it take to receive mail?

We are given until Dec 21st to submit the police clearance else application will be refused. The GS in Jaffna is hardly in the office and the police is having hard time getting sign from him(he must sign in order for the police to send the okays to the head office) so we don't know if we will get the police clearance on time. Government workers are the laziest workers in most of the countries, they work according to their own schedule!!. Hopefully, he is in the office tomorrow and sign the damn paper.
