Hi everyone, I need a help. My wife went to india from sri Lanka in 2014 for a month as a tourist visa. Do i have to mention that on the sponsorship. Thank you.

I believe you only list it if you stay in another country more than 6 months. You dont have to list it if the travel is less than 6 months but then we filled out out application last year so not sure if anything has changed now. When we were filling out it asked us to list all the countries if the stay was more than 6 months.

Yes, it is considered misrepresentation. But, there is a possibility it might not be a big deal as it wasn't a refusal of Visa.
Most of the time this becomes the issue if a refusal visa wasn't mentioned. You can always inform the CIC regarding this indicating that you forgot to mention it, and provide the evidence. i.e. passport copy showing the Visa, exit & entry stamps...etc.

That's the places you lived.
But there was a section to provide any place you have visited outside of your own country. I don't have the forms with me to check this and tell you exactly where.

I got an E-mail today, informing about an interview in the end of this month. Along with some documents, they've asked me to bring,
"copy of your sponsor’s complete Personal Information form ( this must be in a sealed envelope)"
Have anybody been asked for this before? Is there an application form issued by CIC for this?

Wish I could help you out with this but I am not familiar with a form by that name.. hopefully someone else here knows. If not, you can try emailing them. I hate when the VO tries to confuse us like this

Thanks dear!! Yes it has to be something related to him, Even he doesn't know what it exactly is... Both of us are confused..
Btw, what about your application status? Did you get any updates?

Hey, when someone goes to Canada and claim refugee status they have to fill out a form at the port of entry called Personal Information Form (PIF) which is basically details about them and the reason they provided to CIC about why they are claiming refugee status. Your husband should know what this is....
