Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hi guys,
How is everyone? I finished reading all the posts. I visited my husband in SL and im back here now. still no updates. im so impatient, we applied for a visitor visa, coz our first anniversary is in 2 weeks. we still have not heard about the visitor visa still...i dont have much hope in it coz my husband has been refused visitor visa three times before.
we visited the embassy and we got the same old reply...this time, i went in as the applicant and got a taste of the same reply my husband has been getting for the past 8 months
Daisy, good luck on ur husband's interview...dont panic, i wish u all the best that ur husband's interview will b successful as luci's huband's.
remember, u and i had the same file transfer date...so it gives me hope that they are processing...this year's forum has been so slow so far in getting visas, this time last year, there were lots of visas issued.
@ Rathika, i admire ur patience and determination...see, love doesnt come that easy...we who go thru all this will value our love and our spouses more

also i got my caips notes...i dont see much in it...do any of u have any experience in interpreting it...its 30 pages long!

yes i have been very patient ..cause i know true love never fails...don't worry u will hear something very soon...my 2nd year annivasary its in 22 days and in a way im sad that we are not together. but i hope next annivasary we will be together...i know guys it is a crazy process but be patient and u will get a great result soon wishing all you the best....

my husband got an email today requesting for his uk visa copies (he lived in the uk in 2010 and 2011) and asking when he returned to Sri Lanka.
atlast some sign that they are working on our application

That is a good sign.. they are processing your files now

yes! the only thing to hear from them after applying!
since we applied for visitor visa, we have to wait until we get the passport back to get photocopies of his uk visa and dates of departure and arrival

its good that u heard something from the embassy... when they receive your documents im sure they will make a decision.. i hope its a ppr call for u instead of an interview hopefully i hear some good news on the 26th.. im counting down the days. .

i think rathika might know about the caips notes.. i dont know even how that looks like .. its good u ordered it tho

i am back to the post.
i spoke to the mp about my issue of the case being delayed and i have received a form to fill in.
i sent it back to the mp's office last week.
i dont know what will happen next.
anyone know about it?

only now we have all started hearing something or the other...urs is similar timeline too...so u should hear something soon too
are u pr or citizen? so, u still in SL from Jan? does the embassy know ur in SL? based on another applicant who did this in this forum (gayan), the embassy might ask additional information as to how u'll b able to support him when he gets to canada and about ur job etc
try sending them an email or drop a letter...i dont know if it works, but i have given many letters and sent emails, no reply for any...but now we got the email

thanx Daisy...i wish all the best to u and ur husband for the interview...u have enuf time to prepare...so just keep practicing...i mean, men are not good with details...so just keep reminding ur husband lol (atleast my husband is like that) pls let us know the details of the interview, it will b useful for all of us...my husband submitted the required info today....i hope too that the ppr call comes soon, i have 16 days for his medicals to expire...a little short time i know...waiting fingers crossed...also waiting for the passport from the visitor visa application

hi all i visited the canadian embassy in sl today they said they no longer allow invites and we can contact them only through email

Yes my husband said that too, when he went to submit the documents yesterday. Anyway, the in-person inquiry system is of no use, so its better not having it than giving us false hopes

i have sent my app in september 2011 now its september 2012 and still no response.
i am very sad and frustrated.
sometimes i think to just give up.
makes me so upset.

i know it's a stressful process but hang in there girl...you will hear smthing from them any time.. Have ur hubby have his phone on him at all times..you waited a year you can't give up now lol ;D ;D don't worry your almost there.. good luck wishing u the best.. keep me posted..

yeah i know i shouldn't give up now but its stressing me.
everyday in the morning i wake up hoping to hear a phone call.
well, it should be here anytime i guess just need to wait a bit more.
