I got the student gic account number from scotia bank


Reasons why your GIC account may not be opened or delayed:

. Files not received in prescribed format (1 single PDF document)


. Handwritten application forms are not accepted (Please use the electronic version only)


. Scanned documents are not clear (Application Form /Passport Copy/Acceptance Letter)


. Sending duplicate application forms (more than once)


. Sending application forms to multiple email id’s (please send application form only to
newaccount@scotiabank.com


. Sending multiple follow up queries.


. Following up with your request through any other channel other than studentgic@scotiabank.com
will cause delay in processing your GIC Application.

guys check it out the official link to GIC..all samples and FAQ are availaible..download all pdf files showing what to do before sending email..as i n my case i send the email to two addresses..that might be a reason for my delay..

For GIC specifically, what are the allowable sources of funds?
Does the money have to come from the student's home country bank account only from where he is applying? Or can a family member from another country pay for his GIC?

I am in India and my brother is in USA, who will be paying for the GIC directly from there. Is this permitted by the VISA officer?
Please guide.

brother dont worry me also provide them with wrong order..but yesterdey i received the account details arround after 4 and a half days..

i mailed them my documents on 1st of nov so just 3 working days acc to canada have passed yet...have to wait fer 2 or 3 more long days.... :'( ;D

Yes u have to w8 bcz they take atleast 4-6 days

wait for atleast six days and dont resend the documents..

do we need only first n last page of passport or all pages(including blank ones)
cos is mentioned all pages including first n last.
