Hi All,

I received a Procedure fairness letter asking me and my wife to complete two Relationship assessment questionnaires and also asked us to submit more proofs to substantiate our relationship and wedding. However, they only gave us 7 days to respond. My wife and I are tirelessly working to meet the deadline, I'd like anyone's advice on this if the deadline to respond to a Procedural fairness letter can be extended if we send IRCC a written request? Senior members please advice.

Yes - you can request an extension - however it will take some time for IRCC to respond to either confirm or deny.

I would recommend that you submit at least some of the evidence requested within the deadline requested. If IRCC grants an extension, then you can submit further evidence then.

Thank you Scylla will do accordingly. I'd submit some and also request for the extension to submit more evidence.

Actually my lawyer is asking me to request for a 20 days extension so that we could prepare affidavits, however I feel exactly how you mentioned by submitting some response with evidence and then maybe raise a CSE to submit affidavits.

@scylla - on my documents submission table it says due by 20th February however I'm not sure if it due at 12 am tonight or 12 am tomorrow night any idea?
