Completely agree with every word of urs Prahar ji.

Dear Friends please advice..........!!

I applied in Feb'10 and send my doc. in July 2010 but didnt receive any update !! Ecas shows documents received and pending review.....I am bit worried as I didnt receive medical

@Hotellier dxb,

I wonder, how come ur ecas has not changed uptil now.

U should send "CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY" to ur VO, immediately. hopefully,it should work for u. To order CAIPS NOTES may also be a good idea.Later may help knowing the exact position/status of ur file.
Good luck. God bless u nd ur family.

We have just received the CAPIS notes and the BFD is 9th May 2012 and a note stating

"BCrime Pending; updated PCC for PA and CPIC required for spouce;

Please issue meds x 2 and reques:
Indian PCC's x 1 for PA
RPRF x 2
PPT x 2 after all other requirements met."

This is for ND VO but we have already done with medicals from Buffalo office and waiting for Passport request so we are planning to withdraw application from ND VO if we have got the passport request.

I suggest all the NDVO applicants to update the funds, PCC and also RPRF so that they will sent the medicals and passport request by May which will speed the process.

God Bless u all.

Thanks for this update binstm. It seems we may hear something from CHC ND by May 2012.

Today I had spent hefty amount on Admission of my 2 kids, books & stationery. Surprisingly I was reluctant to go for admission last year in 2011 since I got letter from CHC ND that I will hear from them in 3 months i.e. in Feb/Mar 2011 but now March of 2012 is gone.

This year i never even gave it a second thought & paid admission fees :) ..... This process is so uncertain that I even now think of 2013 in India & my kids continuing studies in same school.

Canadian Dreams...

Me too in the same boat. But elder son has appeared for Cl XII exams. After his results are declared, then what do I do?I would have to invest a hefty amount for his graduation considering first yr of his graduation will have ended by the time CHC takes a decision. So funds are decreasing with passing of time.

A very dicey situation indeed!!

Sokhi2010,

Do you have to pay international student fee during the first year of your stay?
Get admission first and then transfer some credits from here..

Dear sokhi2010,

First of all I pray for your son's success in his board examinaitons.
Hope he comes out with flying colours.

Is he in Science or Commerce Stream?
If he gets admission in a good govt college than let your son do the graduation in India and than take admission for Masters in Canada.
That will be my advise.
I suggest you ask some other senior members.

srid_a ..and Nano..

Srid > Cl XII results would be out by 1st wk June 2012.Then my son would have to take admission in a good Commerce College.Admission Charges + Fees + Books..etc...Is transfer of Credits from an Indian College to a Canadian College permissible if student has completed his 1st yr in India? And could you please expand on what you meant by International Student Fee?

Nano > Thanks a lot for your wishes. and for the success.
My son is in the Commerce stream. And since I relocated from Kolkata to Faridabad,I am all at sea because I do not know which colleges are good for further studies. And over these two years have not got proper suggestions from people I know here. And I don't even have an idea where the Colleges are located.
If he completes his graduate studies here then if Canada calls I would not like to wait three years in India.
Plus he is currently preparing for his CA entrance exams in June.
Ofcourse, suggestions from one and all are welcome.

If you prove that you have taken the same course at Indian university they will consider that. You need to show the course contents and get professors approval to skip it. For Bachelor degree programs, it is common for students to study two years at a community college, get admission in the university and study there for 2 years to get the degree. It depends on university on how many credits (how many courses you can transfer from previous university) they will allow.

If I go to Canada as international student I endup paying more fee than the locals (3x times). In some universities if I can prove that my status changed to PR in the middle of the semester, they may return the extra money back to me. They have some deadline by which you have to show the status change.

Your kid may be too young to stay on his own in Canada.. so option1 (study here for 1 year and go there) may be the best choice.

Dear sokhi2010,
You are in NCR region,
New Delhi and NCR has some very good colleges, best in India.
Lot will depend on how much marks your son scores and what college he gets admission in.

In my opinion, if he gets a good score and gets into a premier college in Delhi than he can complete graduation in India.
Compare this.
In India for commerce line graduation is 3 years and in Canada it is 4 years.
Don't know about current fees in colleges in India but if it is a govt college it will be less than 1000 Rs, whereas in Canada it will be 5000 t0 6000$ when you have a PR, and above 15000$ if you are international student.

Your son can visit in vacation and take his PR.

Credit Transfer as suggested by srid_a is possible but may lead in loss of year.
for eg your son completed 2 years but when he gets admission he gets admission in 2nd year of college instead of 3rd year.

And above all consider your son's interest in this matter.

has anybody received their caips yet

i ordered them on feb 28 2012, i still haven`t received them yet.
i have ordered them before twice to be exactly and on both time i got them exactly a month later but now they are taking longer
is this good or bad

Caips report don’t impact immigration process so there is nothing to think about good or bad, however it will take usually 45 days to deliver.

I hope you should see it by end of next week. if no, please email to respective agent.
