practical training/internship in Canada

hello

what kind of visa is needed if someone wants to go to Canada for practical training as a student? my university has secured a place for me to do my internship training in Canada. i have be searching CIC website but i cant find anything related to it. is it going to be a working visa? or a visiting visa? or something different ?

any ideas?

You need a work permit and I believe you may also need an LMO. Hopefully someone else can verify.

i am spending not more than four months in canada. do you think the duration matters if i would need a work permit or not? besides, i dont get paid, i only get money from the school for my upkeep. how about that?
