hello all,

can someone help me please with a quick answer because i couldn't find a clear answer on line!

My wife just Landed in Montreal /Quebec on the 5th of September. She had her proof of Permanent residency upon arrival and everything was fine. my question is this, does the government automatically send the PR CARD to my wife by mail ? or do we have to actually apply for it ?

I have already updated the Address on CIC website to our new apartment in Montreal. Can someone please answer me and tell me if it's normal for the PR Card to take this long, or is there an application i need to send.

Thank you

It will come by snail mail.
It takes almost 3 months.

Heh, my spouse landed in middle of July and is still waiting for his card. But expect at least 2 months.

Timelines can fluctuate anywhere between 1-3 months

Thank you very much for the help..i appreciate it

i guess we just have to wait for a few months more :)

Thanks again

landed the end of may, received PR about two weeks ago. I believe it was 98 days total.
