what are the options for permanent residency for someone who finished SSW course in Ontario?
I have received PGWP after finishing the study. I am looking for jobs currently.
Should I move to another province for PR eligibility? can I extend my work permit if I have the job in my field?
Please share your experience.

Research Express Entry. Would not move provinces without a job offer and knowing you are eligible for that PNP program. Because you have worked and studied in Ontario, then look at OINP pathways first.

You and many others have decided to do a course as a PSW, SSW or similar field. This used to be a relatively easy way to obtain PR but due to the much higher volume of applicants it will and has become more difficult to secure PR this way. There will be a large number of people competing for limited amount of spots so you need to try to gain an advantage over others applying with the same NOC. You need to research all the available pathways to secure PR but need to have plan A, B, C, etc. and remain flexible because targeting only one pathway is very risky. You also need to work on maximizing your points by doing things like increasing your language score. Learning French also remains a very good idea. For the next few years (if not longer) it will be very challenging to secure PR given the demand and the PR quotas which may be tightened even more. There may also be changes to the immigration system in general due to the economy and attitudes to immigration in Canada. Immigration will not stop but many will find that there will be no pathway to PR for them. You should also be considering whether you may be able to secure a WP to extend your time in Canada when you are deciding where to live in Canada and what job to accept.

Thank you for detailed explanation on this. Is it possible to extend work permit after 3 years if I am working in my field related occupation?
