Hello, within which timeframe is a positive h&c determination considered “fresh”? I am outside Canada but recently managed to overcome an a44 report issued on pr renewal application 5 yrs ago as a minor.
The report was closed in early March 2024. I plan on re entering canada through US border end of June 2024 as that is the earliest I can make the trip. I understand that a positive formal h&c determination clears the path for PR renewal right upon entry, and in essence it has the same effect as a PRTD approved under H&C.
Would it be safe to apply for renewal nearly 4 months after receiving the decision? I turn 20 in 2 days time. I am also starting my studies at UofT starting Fall 2024 and they require an unexpired PR card to verify my PR status before end of Fall 2024.
