+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
Just called CIC Canada and was told that my card was mailed on the 14th of August. The address to which the card was sent to is the one which I had given in my PRTD application form(hotel address where I stayed when in Canada), pretty weird. Twice I had sent request via web form and it was not updated, the address.
So my case atleast, web form for updating of address did not work. Best would be to call the toll free Canada number 18882422100 and if in USA then 1 6139444000 for getting the address updated.

When you don't give an address to the officer while landing, does he/she still sumbit the PR card application? Do they hold it until you update your address?

I found this link today for PR card applications. It metions that you have up to 180 days to update your address, otherwise you'd have to pay $50 for a new PR card application. Here's the link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-how.asp

The link to update the address seems to be this: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?a...3.1839026023.1503423506-1430133160.1501752192

Did you use the same link or the webform?

If I talk about my case the application must have been submitted the normal way after I landed irrespective of me updating the address for PR card delivery. I landed on 17th June and my card was dispatched on 14th august very much within the normal processing times.
I did try with the link that was given in the address update form(immigration officer had given that on 17 June) plus all other links that I could find on the net but no where I could update the address as my details were not available on any of those. Just clicked the link which you have sent and it is the same one which i tried.
Web form I updated twice the address but of no avail. My card has been dispatched to the address which I had given in the PRTD application form(applied on 13 July)

And one more thing, I had linked(on 1st august) my PR card application with my CIC account and there it shows the status as submitted. It should be approved as my card was dispatched more than a week ago.

Might change once they get notified that the card was delivered to you? Same as our express entry status not changing after being approved, till visa is stamped and copr is issued

Yes, web form.
The link which they provided in the form( given by immigration official at airport) did not work for me and could not fax the form as the number which they have given cannot be dialled from my country.
Next few days would try calling them to know the status of PR card and address.
Hi Rocky,

did you near any update about your PRcard status ? could you please keep me updated if you hear anything from cic? Thanks

PR card approved and dispatched. However, they messed up with the address. The card has been sent to the hotel where I stayed when in Canada. I had never ever given this address in web form for address update. The hotel address was there in the application form which I had submitted for PRTD and CIC picked it up from there. Twice I tried updating the address via web form but of no avail. It was never updated.
I came to know about all of the above by calling CIC and now I am regretting why I did not call earlier.(was trying to figure a way out to call ÇIC toll free number from my country)
So my suggestion would be call ÇIC to get your address, phone, email or any thing updated and then call again after 10-15 days to see whether it was updated or not.

Call them in another two weeks to confirm on whether they have updated the address.
My case I do not know when I would get the card. The hotel folks still have not received it and in case it is delivered them also not know how to get hands on it :)

Good Day House, Please I need clarification. I intend to booking a flight to Alberta (because that where I will want to reside) but the airline I intend to use is stop at Montreal, Pierre E.trudeau which is in Quebec. When I was reading FAQs on one website I found out that Generally, the holder of a Canada Immigration Visa may enter Canada at any port of entry without difficulty. However, if you first enter Canada at a port of entry in the province of Quebec, you must have been accepted by Quebec and have a valid Quebec Certificate of Selection (CSQ) or be prepared to document your clear intention to reside in a province other than Quebec. Quebec is not part of the express entry scheme.

So my question is: What is the implication of this? Will it be challenging to “document my clear intention to reside in a province other than Quebec”?
