Hi All,

My Spouse PR landing date is expirying this April 15 2016. Due to some unavoidable situation she might not travel, due to this my spouse might loose PR. Please advise friends, how to save my spouse PR or any suggesations to handle situation.

Thanks in Advance.

Unfortunately it's a "use it or lose it" scenario. If she doesn't land on or before April 15th, the visa will no longer be valid and she will have to start the application process again from scratch.

Pointless - PR visas cannot be extended.

His wife either has to land by April 15th or he will have to sponsor her from scratch through the spousal sponsorship process.

As Scylla pointed out, use it or lose it....

This is why so many advise to NOT wait until the last moment to come doing the landing formalities. Now you're in a pickle with the probability that you will need to sponsor your spouse again and pay the money and wait the time to get another visa issued.

If anyone else reading this thread cares to listen, DO NOT WAIT until your visa is close to expiry to complete your landing formalities, unexpected things happen frequently ...

I recall reading in this forum about someone who absolutely couldn't land before their visa expiry date and was successful in having a new visa re-issued after:
1. Taking a new medical exam,
2. paying an additional fee ("visa replacement fee" or something along those lines),
3. More delays.

I personally would try to avoid doing this, but if it can't be helped, you should contact CIC and ask them and they should give you a definitive answer (and the worst they do is say no).

I am trying to find the topic for you..

it will not affect yours at all, it will, however, cause you to have to re-sponsor your wife using the spousal sponsorship stream though.
