Yes, although they haven't responded directly to my second reply. I think they can see what we sent and take action. I don't think its a coincidence that they sent me my credentials(2nd email with temp. password and ID) on the same date i emailed them asking for updates. You are welcome.
Thanks you

How many days do they give to respond to Portal Email 1 and how many days the portal is valid after they create it. Below is my case.
I am going to India for 5 weeks. If I receive the Portal 1 email during my vacation in India, what are my options and whether there is any cause of concern.
Anyone in same boat?

I was out of Canada for work when I got Portal Email 1. When I replied, I especified that I wasn't in the country, and the date of my return (it was about 10 days later). I didn't get a reply, but on the day I came back into Canada I received Portal Email 2.

I think as long as you're very clear when you reply to Portal Email 1 of your return date, you should be fine!

Thanks a lot, this first hand experience really helps. So technically if i receive the portal 1 email and my return date is not far ( say about a week ), then I can return and respond that I am in Canada. Right ?

Dear Folks,
After 6 days short of 7 months since applying for CEC, I just received my PORTAL EMAIL. What a relief after so many months of anxious wait.
Thanks to almighty!

Now have few confusions, if someone can clarify.

From the email PDF, I am asked to submit few details.

One detail is ORIGINAL ENTRY DATE. Is it the DATE of the very first time when I came to Canada? Please note, the very first time I came to Canada was on a VISITOR VISA for an official visit. and left after 2 weeks.

Then I came as a STUDENT >> now on OPEN WORK PERMIT.

So which date should I put there?

And also, all the necessary information to be REPLIED in the email right?

And as I understand, the PHOTO need to be submitted after I get the PORTAL ACCESS Credentials right? Not in the reply of the email?

Please let me know !
I AM SUPER EXCITED and will appreciate your help.

I would suggest you reply as soon as possible, and be clear on what date you will return to Canada. That being said, Portal Email #1 didn't have any due date for replying (only "as soon as possible"), so I guess you could wait it out. Portal Email #2 DOES say you have to respond within a week to it.

You need to replied that email, don't open a new email to reply and the Entry Date is the date you arrive Canada and location is your first flight landing location.

Photo will be the next after you get the PORTAL ACCESS Credentials.

Any advice more than we already have done?

We lived in Canada for 2.5 years working, and applied for EE CEC inland PR October 2022 (he is the primary applicant, I am dependent common-law spouse). We went past the processsing standard and had to leave Canada for my partner’s job (IRCC know all this) May 2023 - and two weeks later (!!) we get the PR approval email.
In order to reply, we booked his flights back for July straight away for a few weeks so he could be in Canada and land, and give enough weeks for the process to go through. I was not planning on returning until November, so I put this assuming they would say the same to me as they did to him i.e. okay just let us know when you are back in Canada. But nope! They changed my process to outland (requesting documents sent to London, UK office) and currently our medical expiration date is showing as July 18th.

As soon as we found this out about me, we changed his flights to June 5th so that he has as much time as possible to complete his portal landing process before the current expiration date of our medicals since I am now being processed as outland.

He replied as soon as he crossed the border on June 5th, and it’s been two weeks out of three we booked for and he still hasn’t even had his credentials, let alone eCOPR. He’s been to our MP twice who has now been in two IRCC meetings - the first they just said they had everyone they needed for him to land (not, help, where is the credentials email?) - and now the second they have sent a message to the office. He has emailed again (Thursday) saying our situation - one that he has an international flight booked for next Monday, and two that it’s impossible for me to land if he hasn’t landed, and our expiry is next month. What if they don’t send him everything on time, my expiration date passes, and our application gets thrown out?

We have done everything by the book and everything possible to get this done. We applied into the pool in February 2022 but didn’t get drawn until Fall because of COVID. We go past the processing time which I feel barely happens right now, and then got hit by strike delays. We receive approval two weeks after we leave Canada, and now we are facing really weird and unfortunate delays just getting these stupid portal emails we’ve had to pay over £1k flights for, that we will almost definitely have to change.

I feel like we have done everything possible, but please let me know if there’s any other way of contacting IRCC or getting this flagged to get it done because we are both at the end of what we can mentally and financially take at this point.

Hi All,

I got my confirmation portal email last Friday. I sent my reply at the same hour however the date I provided was wrong so I had to reply again. Now I was expecting the 2nd email to be sent today based on others timelines but did not get any. Office says Montreal. Does anyone have same experience where in you replied twice or thrice and did not get any response from Montreal Office?

Thanks!

Anyone waiting for their PR card approval for more than a month? Etobicoke VO. I see everyone in Etobicoke gets it under 3 weeks.. and the processing time now is 29 days.. its over that for me now.
