PAL is your prearrival letter, even if you're in Canada you can still get it. It usually means that you have met the eligibility requirements and that your backgrounds checks have either started or are already underway.
Have you already been asked for a police clearance check? Or have you submitted one along with your application?

Review of medical results: We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details.
Review of additional documents: October 4, 2023 We are reviewing the additional documents you provided.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
Well it seems you have met eligibility requirements. The background check is probably the longest part of the process. Hang in there, it takes a while. You might have time to make your business trip and come back.

Got corp with 30 day to be expired but still haven't gotten my ecopr yet.
Yes I have a dependent outside Canada, but they have the COPR expiry until May 2024 (basically expiry of the medical results)
in your case, I’ll suggest you either raise a webform or reply back to your first email and let them know about this!
Ok thanks, I did the virtual landing and still waiting on my ecopr. So I don't have to wait until I got the ecopr from them to get the ppr letter?

After eCoPr, while waiting for the PR card i happen to travel outside canada, will my card still process and mailed to my address and a friend can mail it to me overseas? Or the PR card processing will be withdrawn and need a PRTD to return?
