I got my pr card on august of 2009 came to Toronto in September 2009 stayed here for 10 day then left back to my home country and then i entered Montreal in august 18 2012 and now residing in Montreal and doing my studies. My pr card expires on July 13 2014. So as i know it is said to be that i should be physically present in Canada for 730 days to renew my PR Status. So i am here in Canada from august 28 2012 to July 13 2013 but even though i am in Canada when i counted my days it comes to 700 days so i am worried that i am 30 days short but still residing in the country.so what should i do to renew my PR and what is the possibility of me getting my PR renewed and when should i renew my PR?

PLEASE HElP

THANK YOU

Wait until you have 730 residency days in the last five years and then renew your PR card.

THANKS A LOT ON MORE HELP

So if even the PR expires there is no problem n if i complete the 730 am i sure my PR willl be renewed

Yes, it's fine to stay in Canada even if your card expires. As scylla said, wait until you meet the residency requirement and then apply for renewal.

vik1990,

Your situation is actually not complex or unusual as per posts here. As has been advised apply once you get to 730 days since the law requires CIC to only review the previous 5 year window from date of application regardless of any breach that they were not aware of outside this 5 year window. Note that CIC seem to be issuing Residence Questionnaires/ referring PR Card renewals to the Local Office where an applicant applies with exactly 730 days, requests urgent processing and has little in the way of documentation as proof of presence (read employment).
