pr card renewal under process - can we speed it up??

Hi my PRC renewal is underway... is there anyway to speed up the process? my husbands application for landing has come head to head with mine and they are now waiting to see if my card gets renewed before they give him his visa... any experts who can comment on how to speed my process up or atleast write to them etc??? thanks

I have checked with the Call Centre and they say that my file is being verified etc.
My husbands PR visa paperwork is held up in London as they are waiting to know the outcome of my PRC renewal because he got points from me being a PR.
i submitted in Nov last year - they asked me for a passport copy which i sent back in Jan 2013 in a registered envelope addressed to a person in CIC.
I am thinking of withdrawing my application and letting my husbands paperwork go through and then when he joins us reapplying..
Please experts need your thoughts..

Ps - has anyone who has applied for PRC renewal and been asked for more docuemnts receive a self addressed envelope from CIC addressed to someone there?? is this a new thing because earlier you had to just mail it back to CIC with no name of person..

Does your husband have sufficient points to qualify without the points he got for you being a PR?

Has anyone who has filed their renewal application and been asked to give more documents/proof been sent an envelope with the address and name of the officer???
I received an envelop addressed to an officer with the CIC address to send back my details...
