another update on 7 Oct 2026,Well number of updates means the system deployed AI keeps raising issues for whatever and a human has to recheck and manually pass/authenticate. JSON records as an activity of update. If you see updates with ID being 20, this is actually a good thing. Looks like your case has got little more complexity due to your circumstances, documents not very well organized, many unnecessary documents, or whatever.
Once it ceases to update, then within two weeks you will have your card.
In my optimistic view I would like you to have your cards on or before October 20th.
Good luck.
I don't see anything. Update with no email from them is a good sign.another update on 7 Oct 2026,

Need help
I filed applications for all three of us on 26-Aug. My wife and child's cards were received on 13-Oct, however, my application is still showing "Ready for Review."
I submitted a webform on 1-Oct and received a response on 4-Oct advising that the responsible officer had been notified. I then called on 13-Oct, but I was informed that there was nothing further they could do. I called again today and was advised that I must wait for an officer to open and review my file.
They mentioned that two notifications have already been sent to the officer, the first on 4-Oct and the second on 13-Oct. At this point, I have been advised that all I can do is wait for the officer to review my application.
Thanks bill for this detailed responseYep . . . wait . . . it might be approved any day now. Or, it may be a complex application.
Complex applications can take from two weeks to three months longer, depending on why they are complex. Application is most likely in a queue waiting for an officer handling complex applications to process it. Applications will not be moved up in the queue ahead of other applications in that same queue (to be processed first-in, first-out) unless there is a request for urgent processing and IRCC determines expedited processing is appropriate -- no matter how many queries, prods, notifications are given.
High-complex applications can take even longer.
PR card applications are now triaged in an automated process employing AI, including advanced analytics and machine-learning, so we do not know much about the criteria employed in determining whether the application can be approved in an automated process, or is non-complex (which apparently was the case for your other family members; this generally results in a new card approval almost as quickly as those that get automated approval), complex, or high-complex. That is, the machine determines which queue the application is put in for processing.
Again, within a given queue applications are processed first-in, first-out. This does not necessarily mean, however, first-in, first-approved; if an officer concludes that further processing is needed, including requests for additional information or supporting documents, that can result in the application going into yet another queue . . . another queue where it wait its turn in that queue (so any application already put into the queue will be processed first even if that application was initially made later).
Meanwhile it is like watching a cake bake; you can't see how done it is until it is indeed done, and opening the oven door will not speed things up.
I got this feedback , should I translate as the location is lost/ not traceable or it’s due to application ie not starter that’s why ?Yep . . . wait . . . it might be approved any day now. Or, it may be a complex application.

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is not available in the system yet.
Rest assured that we are making all the necessary efforts to finalize applications as soon as possible and you will be contacted if additional information is required.
The RO was fine , submitted with 40 days of buffers , will wait and see in 2-3 weeks will ask MP to approach themYour application seems to have been flagged for a more in depth review. If you know you have met your RO and have not done anything wrong then all you can do it wait as you have been told by IRCC. Your application is likely in a queue waiting for review by an officer not lost. There is no exact timeline if your application has to go through anything but a simple approval. You have not been waiting for long when compared to others who go through more than a basic renewal. Calling or emailing will not change how fast your application gets processed unless it takes substantially longer and at that point you should seek the advice of a lawyer.
