PR Card Renewal applications Jan/Feb 2026

hi guys, submitted my pr card renewal application today march 11 2026. waiting for updates

Had posted some info in other threads - applied end January for renewal, received in post early this week. Only wrinkle along the way was PR getting shunted to secondary on arrival at airport (twice) - after new card approved but before received (acc to CBSA officer).

try link applicaiton in GC Key using UCI, if cant call IRCC and get applciaton number and then link in GC key

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on January 27, 2026.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 11, 2026.
3. We started processing your application on March 11, 2026.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on March 25, 2026.

install canada post app and activate my mails in it to see advance alert abt ur pending deliveries. canada bank note company will be the sender of ur pr card .

I got an email to appear for an interview. I will have to travel using my green card to Canada for the interview.

I hope that would work i.e using US GC and entering for the PR Renewal card interview. Has anyone done that?

Thanks . It’s not showing there . Is it normal to have a status update that card is mailed but still haven’t received it in 3 weeks ? What should I do ?

go to local canada post office, show ur id with local address to them. they will see if u has / had any courier enroute to ur address

You can enter Canada with your old PR card (even if it is expired) You dont need US GC..

Thanks. Only if done via road/walking not with airlines. Airline will need valid US GC or PRTD.

I guess in the interview I need to carry all the documents that were attached in the application, right?

Yes, you are right. Regarding the interview, I have read on the forums that it is pretty straightforward. I assume they mainly want to verify that the card is in the correct hands.

You might have provided an address that is either a P.O. box or a representative address—am I correct?
