We have asked to re-submit the photographs for the PR card (CIC says that the photo submitted at time of landing is not per specification). Will it be okay if we submit photographs taken at local Sears in Seattle, WA (the back of the photo will be stamped with date and Sears Seattle address) or should we get one done from some photo studio at BC. Given the choice we would like to avoid the travel to BC.

Re-mailing the Supplementary ID form and photos will be done from Canada by a friend. So that it has Canada post mark.

What is the risk in sending photos taken in US? Any chance the PR will be cancelled (if they suspect that we are outside Canada)?

Experts, please help in clarifying.

Doesn't matter where you take your photo or what is in the back of your photos. The important thing is to meet the specification. The US passport photos tends be a bit larger than the Canadian. Make sure the size of the head, from chin to crown is between 31 mm and 36 mm. Crown means the top of your hair. Easy to measure using a ruler once you have your picture taken. Good luck.

Magic Photo in Seattle is specialized in Canadian Immigration related pictures. I have taken from them recently with excellent results.
