Hi, what is 2nd AOR ?

Hi Guys,

Need your guidance... I have till Dec to land in Canada, however, due to personal reasons I won't be able to stay there for a longer duration before Feb 2018.
I'm thinking of going for a short time (a week, or two at max) sometime before Dec to complete the formalities, apply for the the PR card and come back. I will have CIC mail the PR card sent to my friends address in Canada. Who can then courier it back to me in India. Please let me know if there is anything better that I can do?

@Luckyguy05:

Its not advisable to couriere your PR card (as per Seniors) rather after landing you can apply for eTA which is only $7 and you can trave and return with it

Hi Friends,

Will I receive any communication from CIC or NDVO once my file will be moved to NDVO ?

My timeline is in the signature.

Thanks.

Each communication will be done through your MyCIC account. You will receive a detailed message in your MyCIC about what has been changed in your profile.

At the same time, you will also receive a 'notification' email to your registered email address saying, 'You have just received a message in your MyCIC account.' It will not say anything else. Also, it will be a 'Do not reply' kind of email, so you can't reply back to this email.

Hope it helps.

Received a medical surveillance Undertaking form In Mycic account today( as my wife had been treated and cured for Kochs at age 13) . But my case decision does not show approved as yet. Also I would like to Know if this may affect my plan to do a short Landing. I mean, do we require to stay for long period to undergo surveillance or we can make a short landing , report to health care facilities and come back and then re-enter after 6 months then undergo surveillance.

Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.

well plans seems alright... but if you are afraid PR card might get lost in mail, have some of your friends travelling to india hand deliver it to you... just to be more safe

rest looks OK

Hi
I don't think NDVO will contact you directly regarding your application. Correspondence is almost exclusively made by IRCC.

However, I'm not sure about this.

No.

Hello Everyone.
In my cic account it's saying that your application is approved under final decision section. However, in the Document status it is showing Counterfoil. Can anyone suggest me what does this status mean?
