Hello all,

I’m 26F and I will be commencing my journey of PR end of June and aiming to move by next year July at max.

I would also be making a switch from my current
Job so do you recommend I make the switch before I start my process to ease out documentation process or it wouldn’t make a difference.

The consultant tells me I have 60-70% chance of receiving visa as per my profile however I just want to be sure. I have a msc from UK as my highest qualification, fluent in English and about 3 years of work experience in marketing.

Please state any questions or pre preparation I should do before I submit my documents to receive ITA by December 2026.

You have no chance of invitation with your profile so your consultant is lying. Your only way to be invited is being fluent in both official languages. Your NOC is not in demand, you haven't studied and worked in Canada and don't have a job offer.

Always shocked that people with advanced degrees exploring a huge life change haven’t done their own research and blindly trust consultants. I was under the impression that there have been plenty of news stories about how Indian consultants have failed their clients time and again and made false promises or got them a 5 year ban from Canada. As already mentioned your consultant is lying to you. You should be doing your own research and either apply on your own or change consultants. There are some upcoming changes to immigration pathways but at the moment as already indicated your only option would be to learn French. Would add that you are very likely to be able to secure a job in Marketing in Canada unless you work for an employer who has offices in Canada and you will be able to get an intracompany transfer. Marketing jobs have always been difficult to secure even for Canadians with Canadian degrees. The completion to secure PR is extremely high at the moment so even with changes you may not be able to secure PR. You should do your research and if you still want to try and immigrate to Canada you should do your research to see what you need to do to maximize your chances of getting PR. Many Indians are currently learning French because they know that will be their best and possibly only way to secure PR. Getting education and working in a field in demand is another option. You should also be maximizing your English test scores. Your consultant may also be indicating that you’ll be able to sponsor your whole family to come to Canada if you get PR/citizenship which is also not the case. When considering immigrating you need to be prepared for the fact that your parents are unlikely to be able to secure PR and move to Canada. Tough to predict so far in advance but the majority of immigrants currently have no chance to sponsor their parents. The Canadian government is also not forthcoming with that information not just consultants.
