I sent an email about a change of address. Got reply within 30 minutes and they changed the address in ecas the next day. I can't imagine it was all automated, must have been read and changed by a human person, hehe.
But besides that I never got a reply on any emails. That really sucks!
Happy Holidays to all of you!
Cheers

A happy and successfull 2013 to everyone!
I don't understand why the PNP is offered when the processing takes soooooooo long. I see timelines in this forum from people applying in the Canada Experience Class and they get their application processed in 8-10 months!!!
My understanding of the PNP was to bring professionals and skilled workers into Canada faster, but I don't see anything going faster. When I got my AOR and the medical request form it said that I should contact the CPP Ottawa if I don't hear anything from them within the next 120 days. I didn't hear anything so I tried to contact them... nothing. If I check my status online there is no change since August: Application received, Medicals received.
I thought the whole thing would be processed and done within 10-11 months, but if I read the comment from yanesrahn....
OK, and now enough complaining here ;-) Let's keep our heads up guys and keep thinking positive, it'll all work out!
Cheers

I think bc Pnp applicants are in a worse situation than the other provinces. I'm a January 20th (2012) aplicant and my file seems untouched since April, when I did my medicals. I know there's people in worse situations but kills me to see July 2012 applicants getting ppr before us. I think because bc is such a popular province to immigrate the quota might fill up faster, but the wait is just so long. It will be one year since I applied in 5 days and I don't see myself getting my ppr anytime soon. My ecas still shows application received and when asked cpp has standard reply, bla bla bla, no action required. As soon as I reach my one year I'm gonna contact my mp. This is ridicoulous. Ps I live in bc for almost 3 years now. Good luck to all

After this post, I really don't have to much expectations.. My medicals are going to expire in february, so i hope they'll renew it... The problem is that not only they give a long due dates, is that the forum doesn't have movements for 2011 applicants. When they are going to start working...

:( :( :(
Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.

Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.

Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

Case status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office, unless you fall into one of the categories listed below.

When should I contact CIC?

You must notify Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:

• Changes in your personal circumstances, such as birth or adoption of a child, death of a family member, a marriage or a divorce;
• Change of contact information (e-mail, mailing address, telephone number);
• Appointment or change of immigration representative or designated individual;
• Decision to withdraw your application.

You have the option to withdraw your application at any point in the process. You will be refunded the RPRF if you have already paid it.

Need more information?
For more information concerning your Application status, you may refer to the CIC Help Centre online at

If I don't get any news soon I will lose my job and will probably have to leave the country!!!
If you are nominated by BC PNP, you can apply for a work permit during the PR application process. See the BC PNP website: "If you intend to work in BC while waiting for the processing of your permanent resident visa application, you are responsible to apply for and to keep your work permit valid up until you become a permanent resident. Nomination by the BC PNP does NOT authorize you to work legally while awaiting processing of your permanent resident visa. If required, we may issue you, (the Nominee), a work permit support letter which will assist you in applying to CIC for a new or renewed work permit full-time employment in a specific job with a BC employer."

Hi leebee,
I finally got the visa extension, all good. And as they write it is just for employment in a specific job with one employer.

Hi Yanesrahn,
thank you so much for that post!!! At least we know what is going on there now. I think it would be nice from the CIC if they would keep us more updated...
