PR application as a protected person

Hi everyone,

So I applied for a PR about two years ago as a protected person from inside Canada and received the pre-arrival letter in june last year. However there has been complete silence after that. Is that normal? Because i wasn’t expecting the final decision to take so long after the pre arrival letter.

Did anyone else find themselves in a similar situation?

Would look under refugee thread. Pre-arrival letter’s name is confusing and should be renamed. It is purely procedural and can happen anytime after eligibility. It does not mean landing is soon. That said due to a one time additional 160k refugee and protected person landing program from 2026-27 landing will come years earlier than it was scheduled to happen.
