Yeaaa i came in work permit.. i had ita before hand.. but work permit plus offer removed proof of fund.. and makes me inland applicant
Can I nominate someone (my driver) to pick up my passport from VFS once its stamped? I will be submitting it on Saturday.

You can nominate a representative. The person should carry consent form and id details and on the safer side a letter from your end.
Guys, would you please help me with two doubts.
1. I received PPR a week ago and informed them immediately about a change in my mailing address. I am still waiting for the visa office to respond something. However, they say on the letter that I have only 15 days to send the documents. Should I wait more or should I move forward?
2. On the PPR letter they request the COMPLETE address that I intend to live in Canada. How could I possibly know that? Did they ask you guys the same stuff? What did you do?

I am not sure if they follow a different process in your country.
1. If you are applying through VFS in your country then you can provide the address where you will receive the documents. Nowhere on the COPR and visa do they mention your address. Also they give 30 days to send the passport.
2. On COPR they mention the Province and City. They have not asked us about the address where we will reside in Canada.
Can you share more details about your application like stream, province selected etc. Maybe we can find some information.
Went to VFS to receive my passport since I didnot opt for the courier service.
At 2pm they will issue a token and allow you to enter
Then you will be asked to report at a certain counter
There they will take your identification copies and if you are collecting on behalf of someone then the authorization letter. Also you need to present the fee receipt.
They will ask you to fill reference number, name and sign on a form
Then the sealed envelopes with passports is handed over to you. You can open and check the details in VFS itself
It should not take more than 30 minutes depending on your token number
Documents provided by Visa office
1. Passport with one time entry visa. start date is the date of ppr mail. end date is as per medical. For me it is less than a year as i did the medical 2 months before AOR. No photo on the visa in the passport.
2. COPR document with some details and on the Non client copy they have pasted the photograph. They will return the second photograph. This COPR document needs to be handled carefully like the passport. There is a place to sign which should be done when immigration officials tells you to do it.

When you apply you need to select a Province and City. Mine is also FSW-O. Not sure why they are asking you for canada address. Never heard about it before.
If i find any relevant information will let you know.
I spoke with CIBC Rep. Advised me to open the account in Canada upon landing and then do a funds transfer. Carry funds for the initial few weeks.
Scotia rep also said that account gets activated in canada. only advantage is that you can do funds transfer upto cad 50000 from your country. Could not tell me about benefits.
Need to follow up with RBC rep and check their details.

How long does it take to open an RBC account after landing in Canada and what all documents are necessary.I was thinking of opening an account from India but not sure if the offers will be same post landing.
