Hi,
My age is 40,Indian and am Bachelor of Engineering. since my score comes to around 378, I was suggested that I get my wife into a 1 year post Graduate course. I will then by default get a 1 year spouse work visa. With this I can get the relevant work experience and get my score increased to be eligible for a PR.
My Questions are:
1) is this approach correct /true ?
2)Are there any loop holes or If/Buts in this ?
3)How many years of Canada work experience I require to be eligible for applying for a PR. ?

1. No. You don’t get a work permit by default. Permits are not guaranteed. Your wife may be refused a study visa as it is based on funds, education and career advancement in home country.
2. What loop holes?
3. One year. See how much it improves your score.

Thanks for your information.
Are u saying it won't improve my score after 1 year of experience ? I was suggested this approach by consultant and I too found it a bit too easy to be true. Hence wanted to get opinion from this forum.

You need to calculate your score if you get a NOC A, B or 0 job with one year Canadian experience. If you are both approved what are your job expectations with no Canadian work experience. You can’t work as a licensed engineer. Your wife needs a strong profile.

My wife too is Bachelor of Engineering with 10 years experience in IT/Telecom in UK and India. Only issus is she is 43 hence we thought she would go for education and I would go for work experience.(I have 18 years experience in IT/Telecom in Dubai/India)

Again her education will be need to show progress as well as her career. She needs to show how getting a Canadian education will her her career in her home country - job, increase salary etc. Your permit is not guaranteed so if she gets the permit and you don’t, you have a decision to make.
