Hi everyone,
I’m trying to clarify the best route forward and would love insights from those who’ve navigated similar situations.
1. CRS Score Difference
My CRS score is 541 if I apply as non-accompanying spouse, and 516 if I apply with my spouse as accompanying.
Given that recent cut-offs have been high, does it make more sense to apply with my spouse as non-accompanying? More importantly, is this option legally permitted in the Express Entry process?
2. Spouse’s Status & Work Permit
We both currently hold a TRV valid until 2032 and are in India. I received a job offer and soon be applying for a closed work permit to start my new role in Waterloo.
From a strategy perspective:
What status should I show for him in the PR application to strengthen the case?
Should we apply for his spousal open work permit now, or would it be smarter to wait—especially considering that a CRS score of 541 may realistically fetch an ITA in the next couple of rounds?
Looking forward to your thoughts.
Thanks in Advance.
