Kadi... I'll take the bait! Hubby and I. His skin is normally very clear but this was about a month after getting chicken pox. His skin is still scarred in places!

Hi Behopeful.... this is why this forum is so amazing... just when you're feeling the worst, someone can totally relate and it makes you feel better (if only a little bit).

I would like to note that I wasn't just said for us (my hubby and I) but also everyone living it right now in all steps... especially those who have had their interview and/or PPR and are STILL waiting. It is frustrating... I just wish there was a clear directive from the gov't saying what we need and what we don't need. No surprises.

So if we were to do them in advance, would the process would be :

1. to get the fingerprints from St. Vincent,
2. my hubby would send them to me,
3. I would get them "digitized" (is that the right word?);
4. the clearance/fingerprints would get sent directly to POS by the RCMP? or I would send it?

Am I missing something or totally in left field? He has an extremely unique name and this process will be pricey... I'm so torn now.

have they asked you for the RCMP fingerprints yet? My hubby was in Canada before and he didnt have to do his RCMP prints at all. Some do some don't, like someone said if they have a name like someone else then they may ask for them or if he had anything criminal in Canada then they will ask for them but other then that they don't. It is a 50/50 situation if you do them or not.

CIC/POS sent this request, don't know what's in the package but I know it won't get to st.Lucia anytime from now..I'm not waiting on it tho.. Expecting a package tomorrow from a fingerprinting agency in Canada with the forms to have my F.Prints digitized And sent for RCMP clearance. Results will be sent to my wife(est.15 days.. Digital.RCMP.WIFE..POS)
if CIC is requesting results will be sent directly to them..free also..
Lol CIC/POS like....he's only traveling to "Canada" so we can hold his passport.. He don't need it.. Smh..

Can-Vinc you have the process right, however you don't have to digitalize them. You can send paper prints. Paper prints takes 120 days to process while digital prints is 72 hours processing. You only pay to have the prints converted from paper to digital. We sent paper prints because we hadn't been asked for them and time was in our favour at that point. However if CIC had of requested them I would have done digital prints and spent the money.

I always worried with the exclusion order and was glad we didnt needed an ARC. Was hubby beyond excited?!!

Things are great. Still adjusting but couldn't be happier. Hoping his PR card arrives soon and when received immigration will be completely behind us!
