Hi everyone, thanks for checking out my post.
I am currently preparing my spousal sponsorship application and I have a question about submitting the police certificate. I have searched for threads that are related to "police certificate" but don't seem to get a straight forward answer. So here I am.
I came to Canada on study permit when I was 17 years old. After completing my high school and post-grad study, I was granted the post-grad work permit and stayed in Canada. Then I met my sponsor (Canadian) and after almost two years of living together (common law relationship), we decided that I should apply for PR.
The question is, I have not left Canada since I was 17 years old (first entered). Do I need to get a police certificate from the RCMP? I see that in the checklist I need to include the police certificate, however, in the guide it only mentions that you need one only if you are over 18 and have lived in a country other than Canada for more than 6 months?
Appreciate all the help.
