Hello friends,

I want to verify/clarify details regarding the police certificates.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp
on above link says"

"For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country."

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp
on this link it says:

"For the applicant’s current country of residence, the PC must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.

For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the PC must be issued later than the departure date of the last time the client resided in that country for more than six months."

The thing is, I have lived in Canada as international student since 2002. I have also been visiting Korea every year, but no longer than 2 months on each visit.

So the questions are:

1. Do I need to submit PC for Canada since I lived here for more than six months? (link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp)

2. I have a PC from Korea from July 2015 (last time I visited was October 2015). Would this be okay since my visits were less than six months? or should I get a new PC (this being pain in the ass because format has changed and CIC being picky about the things written on PC)

Please advise,

Pre-Assessed..
1. You don't need a PCC from Canada. CIC will ask for it if and when needed during the process.

2. This should be fine given the circumstances but I recommend that you apply for a fresh PCC as well.
