Hi friends

I have been working in UAE for three years and I got a residence visa from Oman ten months ago.
I visited Oman during these ten months several times, each visit took three to five days.
The question is...

Do I need to get police certificate from Oman? Even if I have a residence visa from Oman in my passport, or I don't need that because I have not lived there for 6 months continually.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question, but here is a question that might help others answer you.

Were you based in Oman even though you were there for only few days at a time?

Personally, I don't think just because someone has a resident visa, they need to get the PCC. I can have a resident visa without ever having set foot in a country.

But on the other, I could be based in a country and only use it as a base to go to different countries. And even though, I spend only few days in my base country, my salary, my postal address, etc might be in that base country. In such a case, I would think one needs a PCC. I am talking without really knowing the rules for PCC. I would wait for someone else to answer.

Thanks rupeshhari for your reply
I will wait for another idea.

Is there any one has an experience with such case?

I think someone asked a similar question couple of months ago. You could search the forum but that would be a tough search.

No You dont need pcc from all the countries you vist, irrespective of what kind of visa you vsit on.

I live and work in London, I had to travel to Sweden and Norway on a regular basis. The collecvtive time spent in these countries bsides UK was more than 6 months in the last 2 years. I ddnt have to obtain PCC from either Sweden or Norway, Just from India and UK.

Good luck.

I also dont think so you need PCC from every country, i worked in oman / kuwait / qattar but working on off shore and onshore oil rigs, but based in islamabad and use to rotate one month on and one month off basis so i dont think it applies to you, unless you settle there for few months and based there. I hope this answer your question.
