I spoke with the consul yesterday, she said we can wait from 6 months to 1 year. So she said I can apply for work permit.Did you apply from VAC for the work permit? What do I need to send? I want to move soon...She gave me hope of not waiting moth and a half but I think we will be a long time waiting.And she said our line is small, in comparison with Quebec.

Did you call Sao Paulo VO? Can you give me the number/extension? I've sent an email asking if they receive the extra documentation, but no one replied yet. If I don't get an answer until the end of the week, I would like to call them.

Hi again! No news from Sao Paulo yet?

I tried calling them a thousand times, but I couldn't pass through the automatic system. I even tried some random extension numbers, and I only got voicemail.

I received a one sentence email saying “Yes, document has been received” in answer to my email about the requested additional form. That was in April 19, and I had no news after that. It has been more than a month since my AOR...Any idea how long should it take now until I get medical request?

I cannot understand why this process takes so long...I have sent my police certificates with the application, so they can check my criminal background right away. Other than that, it is only a quick check on the forms and request medic examination, isn’t?
Please tell me if you have any new information. I am starting to get very frustrated and impatient. I have started this process (provincial phase) more than one year ago!

One more question: do you know if Sao Paulo sends medical request by email or regular mail?

Since you and I are outside Brazil, the correspondence could easily take a month to get here. I hope they send by email!

They said is mail and because we are outside is not a combo. First they receive the medicals back and check than they will ask for passports.
She said will be little more long than for people in Brazil.
The waiting for the work permit is killing me.How long takes?

So after they analyze our process we will have one lost month while the medical requests are on the mail. What a waist! Most offices around the world send it by email.

At least the passport request should be by email...

To send the passports to Sao Paulo we can use FedEx. It gets there in four days for a decent price. And I think we can send a pre-paid FedEx envelope to them send it back, don’t we?

For your work permit, it depends where you are applying, I applied online for mine. My first one took exactly one month. Last year I applied for an extension in the same online system and it took more than 04 months. There were back loaded or something, it is not usually that long.
Just think positive...you will be in permanently in Canada until the end of the year, I am sure!

Hope so!!!! This is killing me.They asked for medical on my work permit application, came to my cousin's house.Do you think she can send to me and I make the medical here in USA?

My ECASE is in process.
and I did transfer my doctor from my work permit and now is
medical received
but no more work permit for me.
