Hi Zig,

since you are travelling by KLM, there are no issues except that pre order your desired food (muslim/vagetrarian etc) otherwise during your long journey kids will suffer. Moreover since you will be having 1 bag of 23KG for each person , apparently you will have no problem. But make sure that you have a credit card to get the trollies at toronto airport otherwise you will need to get a porter. i dont know your next connection flight or next destination. Immigration process may take about 2 to 3 hours so make sure you have sufficient time to your next connecting flight. After immigration you have to pass customs and dont forget following:

1. make sure you have your B4A forms (Goods to follow) ready and mention everything which will follow you later in detail (Dimensions type serial numbers etc and approx cost) otherwise it will take another hour to explain the custom officer. Dont bring any food items as they asked as several times about.
2. You will get declaration forms in Aircraft so please fill them out while before landing and keep them ready because that is the first thing you will be asked. Declare all cash cheques etc. Dont hide anything.!!!!! custom will ask you the same cards again which is signed at first counter where they check your passport.

hey thanks alot yes we ve mentioned meal preferences as aisan vegeratian. honestly m worried abt kids. i wish to carry some snacks in my hand bag but m not sure if i ll b bale to do tht. its from saudia (dammam) to amsterdam to toronto. ( klm all the way)can i carry any food related item in my luggage? (nuts and dates gift boxes) and wht abt medicines?

As part of landing, I think you should be prepared with Goods to follow list/Accompanying list. If you haven't then follows this nice link:

we can use uae driving license in Canada? or we must do international driving license?

I heard in Quebec we can use for 6 months but not sure yet. also we must get a paper from police department in UAE

You can use it for initial period (every province has different policy) but should have international license . However in between if you have applied for Canadian license then international license will be voided.
