would you be able to apply for your wife's dubai PCC without her being present? I wish you all the best in this final stage of processing.

Thank you. Yes I am able to do so. They asked for photo copy of pp n cancelled residence. No doubt dubai police customer service is very good.

Congrats Khurram,

Great news, since we have almost same timeline, I hope we receive something soon.

We just want to make sure, is it just RPRF or PPR or both?

Both together

Dear Fellows,

Can some one help me with following?

1- Proof of funds: how much and in which form(cash, DD etc)?
2- What should be taken care during first entry to Canada? Please share any lessons learned.
3- My wife is expecting, how I can get insurance for her?
4- Now a days, how much time Ontario takes to send you PR card ?

Any other tips related to traveling and landing at Toronto.

With Regards
Khurram

1. Base on my experience as a PNP category too, no need for the Proof of funds.

2. Bring all the documents that you will receive from your visa office like: Passports with Visa and COPR. Upon arriving in any Immigration in Canada they will ask you the Declaration Form. This form will give to you by the cabin crew before the plane is near to the airport. Be honest and accurate to the questions that the officer will ask you like: a. What is the purpose of your travel? b. Are you convicted before? c. Did you denied for any entry in Canada before? and so on.

3. If your wife is pregnant during your travel, you can ask for a travel letter form from your doctor their in Abu Dhabi.

4. It was 59 calendar days before you can have your PR card on hand.

hi all

i ve got a renewed passport fr 1 of my dependent applicants.
do i need to send update to CIC?anyone else did the same?

i dont think you need to update CIC if you renew your/any dependent passport. i will let others comment.
for my part, i didnt update ADVO when i renewed my own and dependent passports recently. whenever I will get the passport request, i will mention in cover letter that the passports being submitted are new ones while copies of old ones are already with ADVO.

You do not need to notify new passports, they do security background check and travels based on the old passport. Once you are requested to send passports (PPR) you send the new ones with a cover letter explaning that.

Hello everyone,

I would like to ask what is the trending time for Medical request? in ADVO? I got my AOR-CIO last December 13, 2013 and still waiting for my MR.

After MR how long should I wait for the In process or Passport request?..

Thanks.

Hi itguy29,
For ADVO, normally it takes maximum 6 mos from AOR-CIO before MR, BUT it may take longer or shorter time than that. I believe that is case to case basis. In my experience, my application turned to In Process same when they requested for medical. Just keep your self busy,,Trust Him,,
