Hi guys hope u r all doing well
I am egyptian but currently resident in ksa
From my reading i found that i can apply to egypt vo or abu dhabi
My question do u think abo dhabi takes long time as it shows in processing times on cic.gc.com
Which says 24 months

I am afraid egypt office has many holds due to political distress

Please help and advise from your experiences currently what is the processing time in abo dhabi?!

Thanks to you

drbassem
I am also Egytian and residing in KSA, from my experience and according to what I read in this fruitful forum, even if u wrote Cairo VO it will be transferred automatically to ADVO because u r living in GCC.
So write it ADVO from the beginning to avoid confusion, in addition to the political situations in Egypt which makes the office in a sporadic closure.
This my opinion and u decide.

Dear bassem,
If you are living in GCC countries your case processing office by default is ADVO and you cannot have your own choice. Remember whatever time ADVO is posting on their website (24 months) is the maximum time it may take. It's not necessary that all applications will take this much time. Here in this forum there are people who got their PR in less than a year. It all depends how strong is your case. Mostly security checks take longer time which is beyond control of the VO and that delays the cases. Specially if you are from troubled countries, it takes longer time.... 8)

Hi Everyone,

Sorry ive been out of the scene for a period of time ,just to update everyone im here in winnipeg (finally) arrived Nov 2 and now enjoying our short vacation before we'll get ourselves back working again. So far i have been loving the place though it can never compare from lively Dubai that i am now missing so much. Weather is still good to us though i have runny nose and we are still struggling to adjust with the weather as it fluctuates between 4 to -18 degrees i think but still we are in season of Fall and Winter is yet to come. Thats it for the moment , soon we will be on job hunting mode and wish us luck.

Thanks
Juju
